The Province of Drenthe is an ideal place to explore an untarnished countryside and to make wonderful walks and cycling and skating tours in beautiful scenic areas.

It is also one of the most historical and cultural parts of The Netherlands, with the Zoo in Emmen (“Noorder Dierenpark”), the museum village Orvelte, the Drents Museum in Assen, the Peat Park in Barger-Compascum, the Peat Moor Bargerveen and the “Hunebed” (megalith)-information center in Borger.
